Housed in historic Collins Barracks, the museum displays Ireland’s decorative arts and history, from ancient artifacts to contemporary design.

The Museum houses both a Gift Shop and a Cafe. Admission to the museum is free.

Entry to the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks is free of charge.

Our spacious Family Rooms can accommodate up to 5 people and include a double bed, 2 single beds, and space for an additional rollaway bed or cot if required. We also offer a dedicated Sensory guestroom for guests with sensory needs.

  1. Exit the Ashling Hotel and head east on Parkgate Street toward the train station.
  2. Continue walking on Parkgate Street until you reach the intersection with Conyngham Road and Wolfe Tone Quay.
  3. Cross the intersection and continue straight onto Conyngham Road.
  4. Follow Conyngham Road as it leads you directly to the Phoenix Park Gates, Dublin Zoo is not far now.
  5. Once you reach the gates, you have arrived at Phoenix Park.
  6. Continue straight along Chesterfield Avenue for approx 1km. Dublin Zoo is on your right.
