Nightlife and Culture
Can you think of anything better than stepping in from the cold to the welcoming warmth of a cosy pub? Dublin is full of great bars, pubs and restaurants, ideal for a break from the weather or a great night out. For a truly traditional experience, try the Gravediggers in Glasnevin, a true Dublin institution. Its location next to Glasnevin Cemetery – another excellent Dublin tourist attraction – has been the same since 1833 andits still run by the same family. It has an unchanged interior with no music or TV and they serve impressive traditional food. Closer to home we have Kehes off Grafton Street, an unpretentious piece of DUblins pub heritage where history and a good irish welcome awaits. Our team are happy to recommend a cosy pub to warm you up in Winter.
Music and Live Events
We’re long past festival season and outdoor gigs are a thing of the past but even in winter, live entertainment is the heartbeat of Dublin. We have a huge lineup of music, comedy, sport, theatre, literature and so much more. From 2nd November to Christmas Eve The Murder Mystery Tour in the National Wax Museum Plus is an exciting self-guided tour, perfect for those who love to solve crimes. From 8-12th November the Dublin Book Festival returns to Dublin Castle. It’s a six-day celebration of the written word with those who write them best. There will be guided tours of literary Dublin, photographic and historical exhibitions as well as conversations with authors.
3Arena is the biggest indoor venue in Ireland and Winter is particularly busy. We have comedy from Michael McIntyre and My Therapist Ghosted Me, music from Belters Only, 50 Cent, Queens of the Stone Age, McFly and Maneskin and fights like Cameron V Taylor, and Fighters League European Champion. That’s just one venue, there are dozens more in Dublin!
