We don’t often shout about our achievements, but our team and hotel have really outdone themselves this year. At Ashling Hotel, we continuously strive to adapt and change to accommodate our guest’s needs and offer a truly superior standard of hotel in Dublin. We have been nominated for no less than 10 separate accolades in 2022 and three of our team members have seen great success at the Gold Medal Awards, each well-deserved. Many of our nominations were in the Irish Hotel Awards, an organisation celebrating the commitment and dedication of the hospitality industry in Ireland. We’re delighted to have a team who go above and beyond to provide outstanding guest experiences to our guests.
Receptionist of the Year 2022 – Nomination
We are delighted to recognise our assistant front office manager Jennifer Farrell’s nomination for Receptionist of the Year 2022 at the recent Irish Hotel Awards. Jennifer joined our team eight years ago and has become an integral part of the team. She join us following her bachelor’s degree in International Hospitality and Tourism Management in 2014 on work placement and we are delighted to watch her grow into the Assistant Front Office Manager role ever since. She has a passion for staff development and training while strongly promoting the effectiveness and efficacy of teamwork. Jennifer relishes the opportunity of cross-training and shares our value – knowledge is power.
Marketing Manager of the Year 2022
Our Dublin hotel would be nothing without its team working hard in the background, making it look easy. In October 2022, our very own Ciara Barry was named Marketing Manager of the Year 2022 at the Irish Hotel Awards. Ciara brings a wealth of knowledge to this role, specialising in rejuvenating and relaunching the Ashling hotel with an innovative sales and marketing plan. Ciara manages the team who looks after our conference and meeting rooms, from the marketing to the catering and everything in between. We’re very lucky to have such a talented and dedicated manager marketing our 4-star hotel in Dublin.
Rising Star of the Year 2022
We are delighted to see our colleague and valued team member Ubaldo Santos awarded Rising Star of the Year 2022 at the Irish Hotel Awards. A native of Brazil with a background in General Business Management, Ubaldo came to Ireland in 2016 to learn English. He started a part-time position at Ashling Hotel while studying for a bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. Ubaldo progressed from Chief Stewart to front-of-house and hotel operations. In 2022, he undertook a leadership & management program and was promoted to Duty Manager. He prides himself on attention to detail and ensuring every guest of Ashling Hotel Dublin has a wonderful experience during their stay.
Business & Conference Hotel of the Year 2022
Ashling Hotel is proud to have been nominated and won the Business & Conference Hotel of the Year 2022 at the recent Irish Hotel Awards. The hotel has always been associated with conferences, meetings, and events throughout the years and we are delighted with this recognition. A combination of our dedicated events team and the array of meeting suites have helped to secure this prestigious award, something we hope will attract new and return business in 2023. Our dedicated meeting suites underwent a refurbishment last year, bringing our 15 business suites to a higher standard than ever.
Gold Medal Awards 2022
The Gold Medal Awards recognise and reward excellence in hospitality something each member of our team carries with them throughout our working day with pride. We were thrilled to have been nominated for two Gold Medal awards – winning was simply the icing on the cake. Ashling Hotel Dublin has been awarded Ireland’s Favourite Place to Stay in Leinster along with silver for “Outstanding Customer Service Award for our Reservations Team. Ashling Hotel was also a finalist in the overall 4 Star Hotel Award.
